Who are 247Desktop and where did we come from?

247Desktop started trading in February 2006. The company was initially formed by Stephen Crawford and soon after Steve Ashdown was invited to be part of the revolution. 247Desktop is 100 percent privately owned by Mr Steve Ashdown and Mr Steve Crawford and as a company is debt free.

Who are they? What experience do they have?

Steve Crawford has 14 years of experience working from the lowly beginnings of helpdesk support to being part of 150 million pound projects. Steve has a CV that includes working for companies like Barclays Capital, Atos Origin (in Stockholm), KPMG, F&C, DSG (Dixons Group), BBC, Fortis Bank, Santander Investment and HP at senior management and or Business Consultant level.

With an extensive background in service delivery, infrastructure architecture and Hosted solutions it was a natural progression to setup a Hosted Service company. Steve Crawford prides himself in being able to work at a Business and IT level to be able to offer reliable solutions at cost effective prices without compromising in quality. From 1 to 100,000 users the objective is always the same. A brave statement but one that our customers will testify to.

Steve Ashdown has over 15 years experience in working for Blue chip companies in the UK. From Support, project management and consultancy positions Steve Ashdown has a wealth of experience in the operational side of IT. From rolling out 20,000 windows XP PC's to implementing global infrastructure projects Steve Ashdown has experienced it all. With an extensive background in Vendor relationship, team management and account management Steve Ashdown has the skills and experience to deliver solutions effectively.

Enough about the owners, now on to the people that make everything happen day to day. Every member of the support and engineering teams have been hand picked from previous projects or from hundreds of interviews. Customer service and care is paramount in every business so we have invested a lot of time in providing a top class team. Hence we call them affectionately the "Dream Team" after the USA's team of superstar basketball players in the late 80's/90's.
